Carnivore Stew

While I like a sew as much as the next person, I really like how quickly I can make this one!

You will need:

  • 1 pound of grassfed beef stew meat (partly thawed)

  • 1/2 package bacon (frozen or partly thawed)

  • 1 clove garlic crushed

  • (Optional) Onion 1/4-1/2 onion

  • (Optional) Mushrooms 4-8 oz

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • First cut the bacon into 1/2-1" pieces

Over medium heat, fry the bacon till about 1/2-2/3 done. Pour off all but 2 tbs of the fat and save for other uses. Chop the stew meat into 1/2" strips while it's still half frozen and place them in the pan add salt and pepper. Drop in mushrooms, my favorites are Morels or Cremini whole or sliced.

For a mild garlic flavor, wait to add garlic until the meat is about half done, for mild flavor, place in the pan with the meats right away, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes. If you want more flavor, uncover and let the juice reduce as you finish it. you can use the juice to make a gravy if you like.

That's it!

Frozen to on the plate in about 20-25 minutes.
