WHAT?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is where you pre-buy a share with a farm, and receive it in weekly, monthly, or seasonal boxes.
With meat, it CAN BE like ordering a quarter cow, but instead of getting it in 1 delivery, you can enjoy it every month, without a huge freezer to maintain and organize.
WHO?
Anyone! a single person living on a college student budget, A retired couple that travels a lot, The family with 1-many children. We have options for YOU!
WHERE?
Convenient pickup at the farm, OR at any farmers market, OR we can ship it to you!
WHY?
If convenience isn’t enough of a reason, the flexibility should be a high priority too. We understand that folks work, travel, and have a busy life. While wanting what they want, when they want it.
OPTIONS:
A-la-carte: Place $500 into your account. You choose from what we have, at the time, and select or cherry pick items on your shopping list or meal planning organizer. (DOES NOT EXPIRE) Your Share can roll over to more than a 12 month period, Account running low? No problem, add more dough, and carry on enjoying the options. We will debit the pre paid balance every time you shop. NO service fees, no late charges. what a great exchange.
BEEF boxes: We have 3 beef options. They include the 5 pound per month, or 10 pound per month. It’s 1 grocery bag in size. and includes the following: 4 ground, 1 roast or ribs, 1 stew, and 2-3 steaks to be 10 or more pounds. (the 5 lb is an every other month delivery) The third option is DOUBLE what’s in the 10 pound, but has a wider variety of steaks in each box. There is NOT 2 of each kind of steak per box. we carry 13 different cuts of steaks, you will get a balance that will even out the box. Further: the 10- pound is after a year, equal to if you had bought a quarter, but got it in BITE SIZE Pieces = convenience!

CHICKEN and TURKEY CSA:
yes, you can CSA birds!
Chicken csa, you will reserve any number of birds in 10 bird increments. 10 birds = about 1 per month. Pay the $5 down, and pay the balance based on weight of birds received at pick up. You are GUARANTEED your count of birds.
Turkey CSA, Pay your $75 down, and the balance on the weight at pickup. We MUST have an approximate count so we can order our turkeys in MARCH. They take 20 weeks to grow out. We process them BEFORE it gets cold in fall. a bird that is cold, will use too much energy to stay warm, have thin skin, and be a dry bird when cooked. We aren’t into that, I’m betting you aren’t either. SO, we have them fresh frozen, and store them till you are ready in November or December.

The CSA was started with produce farms to help mitigate food security, and share risk of producing uninsurable crops. Sharing the risk, community supported, farmers are viable and can survive if drought, flood, or act of God happens. Raising livestock, we have a less volatile production model. There is risk to my farm, but NOT our customers. Your CSA funds help me pay the processing bills, feed costs, and other expenses to maintain our herd of livestock.
